These Terms govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and services provided by Coastal Edge Systems, including the field service management software branded as FSM.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and services provided by Coastal Edge Systems ("Coastal Edge Systems," "we," "us," or "our"), including the field service management software branded as FSM (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Coastal Edge Systems is a service business based in Florida, United States. We provide field services to our own customers and develop software, including FSM, used to manage field service operations. You can reach us at info@coastaledgesystems.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. The Service

The Service includes:

  • Our public website at coastaledgesystems.com.
  • The FSM software platform, currently in pre-release / beta.
  • Any related applications, APIs, or integrations we operate.

We are continuously developing the Service. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time. During beta, the Service is provided on a best-effort basis without uptime guarantees.

4. Accounts

If the Service requires an account, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate registration information and keeping it current.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us promptly at info@coastaledgesystems.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by introducing malware or excessive automated traffic.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Use the Service to send spam, harass others, or transmit content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes anyone's rights.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

6. Third-party services and integrations

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms (for example, Thumbtack, Angie's List, RingCentral, Resend, and others) to send and receive messages, leads, calls, or related data on your behalf.

When you connect a third-party account:

  • You authorize us to access and process the data necessary to operate the integration.
  • Your use of the third-party platform remains subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policies.
  • We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of third-party platforms.

You may disconnect any third-party integration at any time through the Service. We will stop accessing the third-party platform's API and will delete tokens and related credentials within a reasonable period.

7. Content and data

You retain ownership of any content and data you submit to the Service ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Data solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for you.

Data received from third-party platforms (such as Thumbtack leads or customer messages) is processed strictly to operate the integration you have connected. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it to train machine learning models or for advertising.

8. Payment

The Service is currently provided free of charge during beta. If we introduce paid features in the future, pricing and payment terms will be disclosed before any charge, and your continued use after that disclosure will constitute acceptance of those terms. You may cancel at any time.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by Coastal Edge Systems or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written permission.

10. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, feedback, or ideas about the Service, we may use them for any purpose without obligation to you.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COASTAL EDGE SYSTEMS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COASTAL EDGE SYSTEMS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS ABOVE, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coastal Edge Systems, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 16) will survive.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
